florist / guitarist / dress progress / vendors
made appointments to meet with a florist and a guitarist/harmonica player. i’m so glad i waited this long to finally find vendors i was comfortable with. i was really behind on booking people for those parts of the wedding (according to the checklist i follow), so hopefully these will be the only people i need to see.
also received some great news from amanda archer, the girl making my dress: “Just wanted to update you on the progress: I will be finishing up your wedding dress in a few weeks probably closer to mid december, will post pictures then!” woohoo!
changed the title of the “diy / green info” page to “vendors.” i want all of the vendors we use to be listed so that we can write reviews about them after the wedding, but all of the diy and/or green tidbits are still listed.

registry + diy / green info pages updated
after many, many hours of work we’ve finally got our registries ready! eventually we’ll be adding bedroom and bathroom items, but the kitchen items were the most important part to us (well, to me…i don’t think cory cares much).
i also started listing all of the diy / green aspects of the wedding that we’ve managed to incorporate into our big day so far. almost all of it would be unnoticeable if it wasn’t written out, so if you read about it now, maybe you will take notice of it the day of! ![]()

printing the save the dates
printing the green part (in action!)

here i am printing the save the date postcards that you got in the mail! cool, huh? the process is called letterpress printing, and i’m using a century-old machine to do it (it’s called a chandler & price). in this video, i’m printing the green part onto the cards. i had to print the wood grain part and brown part separately. it’s a very time-consuming process, but in the end it’s totally worth it.
don’t worry, wearing flip-flips isn’t dangerous when operating this type of machinery (at least i don’t think so…)!
